Wellington Business Association (formerly Wellington Chamber of Commerce) was founded in 1947
The WBA exists to link together businesses, to maximise potential from town events, give members a chance to participate as a business community, keep all member businesses informed of local business schemes and to provide a voice for traders to speak to the local councils on issues that affect us. This enables us, as a business community, to work together for our own good and for the good of our town.
We hold monthly meetings to which all members are invited to attend and contribute if they so wish. We each have a common goal, to achieve better and more profitable businesses and by working together we can achieve this. This will ensure that we can all take part and not miss out on business opportunities.
The WBA has a vision for how we want to see the town promoted and developed.
For businesses to trade with each other for the benefit of all.
For visitors to Wellington to enjoy all that Wellington offers - browse the many and varied shops, visit the museum to learn about Wellington's past and how that has made the town what it is today, walk in the award winning park, and take in a show at the Wellesley Cinema.
The WBA is proud to represent and serve the local shops and businesses in and around Wellington.
To be a proactive, integral part of business life in Wellington, linking together businesses and maximising potential from the town.
To actively promote a coherent business community that is vibrant and prosperous. To represent the interests of the members at local, district and national level.
